The number of 911 calls rose consistently during the past 20 years. The district responded to 2400 calls in 1995. The district responded to over 7000 calls in 2016.
How to deal with such growth?
Clallam County #3 commissioned Fitch and Associates to study and evaluate the district in 2016. The resulting report provides a basis for updating the vision and mission statements and, most importantly, make changes to improve the service to the coommunity. The improvements should will shorten response times while maintaining the excellent level of service.
The District has been extremely successful over the last 12 years in securing over 2.6 million dollars in grants for supporting programs and will continue to seek outside funding.
